I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and International Studies at Georgia Southern University. Specializing in terrorism and counterterrorism, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and criminology. My research and teaching focus on homeland security, terrorism in Africa, big data analysis, and natural language processing (NLP), with a commitment to connecting academic scholarship to real-world security challenges.
I bring an interdisciplinary toolkit that combines quantitative and qualitative methods, computational skills (R, Python, STATA, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and LaTeX), and policy analysis. My work aims to inform effective counterterrorism strategies, support evidence-based policymaking, and contribute to training the next generation of scholars and practitioners.
Beyond academia, I am passionate about leveraging technology for social good, strengthening institutions, and applying data-driven insights to pressing global security and governance issues.
I hold an M.S. in Terrorism and Homeland Security Policy and an LL.M. in Law, Politics, and Legislation, as well as Criminal Law, from American University. I also hold an LL.B. (J.D.) from the University of Lagos.
